Example Forecast 07/07/12 – 08/07/12 – Tuesday Version......

PRESSURE SYNOPSIS

I would like to say things are changing, but as I sit here under another rain cloud it looks like a similar situation to recent weekends. A low of 1004 millibars will move in over Ireland and the UK on Saturday, this pressure system will be the dominant one for much of Western Europe. This system will be pushed by a Mid-Atlantic High of 1028 millibars over the period, Sunday will see the Low bang smack over the UK at 1008 millibars. Stay tuned for further updates, as things may well change (we can only hope!) as the week goes on…………

OVERALL

Pretty naff everywhere really, nowhere is a standout or really worth a major trek at this stage. Stay tuned for further updates, as hopefully things may change as the week goes on…………

BEGINNERS / IMPROVERS

A great weekend for you guys to practice especially in the South West, not challenging and well within your comfort zone, time to dominate, get out back and go for the real green / unbroken waves - enjoy! Stay tuned for further updates, as things may change as the week goes on…………

It should be remembered

It should be remembered:

  • Regardless of the Weekend Outlook if there is surf, you should be out there to improve your surfing ability
  • so unless it’s flat, just ignore it(!) and go surfing.
  • The Weekend Outlook is aimed at those who are competent at paddling out in 6ft plus surf and looking for perfect conditions.
  • This is a SURF report, we care about the waves, as to whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy or hailing is incidental, and neither here nor there as far as we are concerned.
  • Also note that this is always written for midday, so there may be variances during the AM and PM.
  • Wave Heights are written in what you are actually taking in the face / duck diving, we are not into macho bs of measuring the wave from the back, this is the real thing, what you drop and ride = simple.
