PRESSURE SYNOPSIS

A Low of 1004 millibars will move down from the Northern Mid-Atlantic and just graze the South West of the UK on Saturday, as it moves down into the Bay of Biscay and into South Western France / Northern Spain for Sunday. Behind this Low will be a Mid-Atlantic High of 1028 millibars, there will also be a High of 1020 plus millibars over much of Mainland Europe over the period. So by Sunday, as the Biscay Low impacts into Northern Spain / SW France, this Low will rapidly move East across the middle of Europe, whilst the Mid-Atlantic High pressure will have fattened to 1032 millbars. OVERALL

Clean surf for the South West and Wales on Saturday, followed by smaller surf with light onshores for Sunday. Northern Scotland looks fun too on Saturday, the rest you will have to search a bit more…… Stay tuned for further updates, as thing may change as the week goes on…………

It should be remembered:

  • Regardless of the Weekend Outlook if there is surf, you should be out there to improve your surfing ability
  • so unless it’s flat, just ignore it(!) and go surfing.
  • The Weekend Outlook is aimed at those who are competent at paddling out in 6ft plus surf and looking for perfect conditions.
  • This is a SURF report, we care about the waves, as to whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy or hailing is incidental, and neither here nor there as far as we are concerned.
  • Also note that this is always written for midday, so there may be variances during the AM and PM.
  • Wave Heights are written in what you are actually taking in the face / duck diving, we are not into macho bs of measuring the wave from the back, this is the real thing, what you drop and ride = simple.
