PRESSURE SYNOPSIS

A High of 1032 millibars will move into the Bay of Biscay at 1032 millibars on Saturday, this High pressure will move ever slightly North for Sunday to be around South Western England and Southern Ireland at 1028 millibars. The Lows to counter this big area of High pressure will come out of Greenland at about 1004 millibars, with another to the East of Iceland at about 996 millibars. By Sunday the Greenland Low will have deepened to 996 millibars and moved South East to cover Iceland, pushing the previous Low deep into the Norwegian Sea. All this will mean that the swell that there is, will be solely around Northern Scotland really, but make sure you read your areas and stay tuned as things may change as the week goes on, you never know…………

OVERALL

Northern Scotland is the place to be this weekend, Sunday looks to be the better of the two days by far. Everywhere else will be small to naff. Stay tuned for further updates, as thing may change as the week goes on…………

  • Regardless of the Weekend Outlook if there is surf, you should be out there to improve your surfing ability
  • so unless it’s flat, just ignore it(!) and go surfing.
  • The Weekend Outlook is aimed at those who are competent at paddling out in 6ft plus surf and looking for perfect conditions.
  • This is a SURF report, we care about the waves, as to whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy or hailing is incidental, and neither here nor there as far as we are concerned.
  • Also note that this is always written for midday, so there may be variances during the AM and PM.
  • Wave Heights are written in what you are actually taking in the face / duck diving, we are not into macho bs of measuring the wave from the back, this is the real thing, what you drop and ride = simple.
