PRESSURE SYNOPSIS

Two Low’s one to the West of us in the Mid-Atlantic at 1012 millibars and the other North over Northern Scotland at 1000 millbars will be the main players on Saturday. The High pressures meanwhile will be around the Azores at 1024 millibars and also in the Baltic Sea off Finland at 1020 millibars. The situation will be more or less the same on Sunday, except the Mid-Atlantic Low will be nearer to us, just off South Western Ireland still at 1012 millibars, whils the Scottish Low will have moved into North East into the Norwegian Sea at 1008 millibars. The High meanwhile will have stretched all the way from the Azores through Northern France and into Eastern Europe. Stay tuned as things may change as the week goes on, you never know…………

OVERALL

The best of the rest is the South West and Wales, not great elsewhere, or not a lot to write home about at least. Stay tuned for further updates, as thing may change as the week goes on…………

It should be remembered

It should be remembered:

  • Regardless of the Weekend Outlook if there is surf, you should be out there to improve your surfing ability
  • so unless it’s flat, just ignore it(!) and go surfing.
  • The Weekend Outlook is aimed at those who are competent at paddling out in 6ft plus surf and looking for perfect conditions.
  • This is a SURF report, we care about the waves, as to whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy or hailing is incidental, and neither here nor there as far as we are concerned.
  • Also note that this is always written for midday, so there may be variances during the AM and PM.
  • Wave Heights are written in what you are actually taking in the face / duck diving, we are not into macho bs of measuring the wave from the back, this is the real thing, what you drop and ride = simple.
