Example Forecast 07/09/13 – 08/09/13 – Friday Version......

PRESSURE SYNOPSIS

A fat Low of 1008 millibars will sit over the mainland of the UK on Saturday, but it will move North and East over the period, getting even fatter to about 1012 millibars and being over North West England / Northern Ireland on Sunday. The High pressures meanwhile will be in Eastern Europe on Saturday at 1024 millibars, and the Azores at 1024 millibars. This picture will as described be one of High pressures in dominance every where. Read all your neighbouring areas to make the most of what there is……..

OVERALL

Northern Scotland is the place to be on Saturday and then the Mid-East Coast, but it won’t be great anywhere, but it’s always fun to get wet. The deepest South West will also have a small ripple. Good hunting wherever you are……..

BEGINNERS / IMPROVERS

Small overall everywhere, your only hope is the far South West, everywhere else will be very small to flat, unless you head to the East Coast which would be our call.

It should be remembered

It should be remembered:

  • Regardless of the Weekend Outlook if there is surf, you should be out there to improve your surfing ability
  • so unless it’s flat, just ignore it(!) and go surfing.
  • The Weekend Outlook is aimed at those who are competent at paddling out in 6ft plus surf and looking for perfect conditions.
  • This is a SURF report, we care about the waves, as to whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy or hailing is incidental, and neither here nor there as far as we are concerned.
  • Also note that this is always written for midday, so there may be variances during the AM and PM.
  • Wave Heights are written in what you are actually taking in the face / duck diving, we are not into macho bs of measuring the wave from the back, this is the real thing, what you drop and ride = simple.
