PRESSURE SYNOPSIS

Saturday Midday will see a Low of 976 millibars in the Near Atlantic, the main High pressures will be in Eastern Europe / Western Russia at 1024 millibars, with another around Southern Spain at 1020 millibars. Sunday Midday will see the Low having moved slightly North still at 976 millibars, now in the North eastern Atlantic. The Low will have split spawning a minor entity which will have moved North East towards North West Scotland at 980 millibars. These Low’s will be producing fronts that are moving into Western Europe and the UK, the tail end producing a mini-Low of 1004 millibars, off the Western Spanish Coast. All the High pressures will be in Southern Europe / the Mediterranean at 1020 millibars, but pushing their influence up into the bay of Biscay too. This will all mean that there will be swell at times and at certain spots, make sure you read the detail to get the most of what there is…………

OVERALL

The South Western UK on Saturday (and Sunday) Northern Scotland, Wales, the South Coast and the Channel Islands all on Sunday will be beashable.. Read the details and good hunting …………

It should be remembered:

  • Regardless of the Weekend Outlook if there is surf, you should be out there to improve your surfing ability
  • so unless it’s flat, just ignore it(!) and go surfing.
  • The Weekend Outlook is aimed at those who are competent at paddling out in 6ft plus surf and looking for perfect conditions.
  • This is a SURF report, we care about the waves, as to whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy or hailing is incidental, and neither here nor there as far as we are concerned.
  • Also note that this is always written for midday, so there may be variances during the AM and PM.
  • Wave Heights are written in what you are actually taking in the face / duck diving, we are not into macho bs of measuring the wave from the back, this is the real thing, what you drop and ride = simple.
