PRESSURE SYNOPSIS

Saturday will see a fat Low of 1006 millibars over Northern Scotland heading into the Norwegian Sea, whilst in the Mid-Atlantic there will be a fat High pressure of 1036 millibars, with a couple of fat Low’s to the North (in the Labrador Sea) at 1004 millibars and the South (in the Southern Mid-Atlantic) at 1012 millibars. Sunday will see the Low’s around the Mid-Atlantic High push it East filling as it comes towards us 1040 millibars, encompassing much of the UK by Midday. This will all mean that there won’t be a lot happening expect in the far North, but stay tuned as things may well change as the week goes on……….

OVERALL

Eastern Scotland, and a couple of spots in Northern Scotland look to be fun / okay at times. Everywhere else will be pretty second rate at best, read the details and stay tuned as things may well change as the week goes on……….

It should be remembered

It should be remembered:

  • Regardless of the Weekend Outlook if there is surf, you should be out there to improve your surfing ability
  • so unless it’s flat, just ignore it(!) and go surfing.
  • The Weekend Outlook is aimed at those who are competent at paddling out in 6ft plus surf and looking for perfect conditions.
  • This is a SURF report, we care about the waves, as to whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy or hailing is incidental, and neither here nor there as far as we are concerned.
  • Also note that this is always written for midday, so there may be variances during the AM and PM.
  • Wave Heights are written in what you are actually taking in the face / duck diving, we are not into macho bs of measuring the wave from the back, this is the real thing, what you drop and ride = simple.
