PRESSURE SYNOPSIS

A High of 1028 millibars will sit in the Bay of Biscay on Saturday with a double centred Low in the Mid to Northern Atlantic at 984 and 987 millibars respectively, to the East there will be a Low in Northern Norway of 990 millibars, and a High of 1023 millibars in South Western Russia. Sunday will see a new High of 1028 millibars moving South East out of North America into the Mid-aTlantic, this High will compact and move Saturday’s Low’s North into one entity into the Greenland Sea at 988 millibars. The Biscay High will also have been shunted East to cover much of Southern Enland and Central Europe at 1020 millibars. All this will mean small swell everywhere, read your areas and stay tuned for changes as the week goes on……….

Eastern Scotland is the place to be on Saturday, then the far South West of the UK. Stay tuned as things may well change as the week goes on……….

It should be remembered:

  • Regardless of the Weekend Outlook if there is surf, you should be out there to improve your surfing ability
  • so unless it’s flat, just ignore it(!) and go surfing.
  • The Weekend Outlook is aimed at those who are competent at paddling out in 6ft plus surf and looking for perfect conditions.
  • This is a SURF report, we care about the waves, as to whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy or hailing is incidental, and neither here nor there as far as we are concerned.
  • Also note that this is always written for midday, so there may be variances during the AM and PM.
  • Wave Heights are written in what you are actually taking in the face / duck diving, we are not into macho bs of measuring the wave from the back, this is the real thing, what you drop and ride = simple.
