PRESSURE SYNOPSIS

A High of 1020 millibars in the Western Atlantic will push a big Low off Western Ireland in the 984 millibar range will pump swell into the UK, whilst the High pressure of 1032 millibars will be sitting over Southern Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and Western Russia on Saturday. Sunday will see the Western Atlantic High pressure having moved Westwards into the Mid Atlantic at 1024 millibars, this movement will push the Low off Western Ireland North to be South West of Iceland at 992 millibars. As it is shunted North, a minor fat splinter Low of 1008 millibars will splinter off towards South West England. Meanwhile in Eastern Europe / Western Russian, the High pressure will still be 1032 millbars, adding to the squeeze on that Low pressures. All this will mean swell in the South West, read the details and stay tuned……….

  • Regardless of the Weekend Outlook if there is surf, you should be out there to improve your surfing ability
  • so unless it’s flat, just ignore it(!) and go surfing.

  • This is a SURF report, we care about the waves, as to whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy or hailing is incidental, and neither here nor there as far as we are concerned.
  • Also note that this is always written for midday, so there may be variances during the AM and PM.
  • Wave Heights are written in what you are actually taking in the face / duck diving, we are not into macho bs of measuring the wave from the back, this is the real thing, what you drop and ride = simple.
