PRESSURE SYNOPSIS

Saturday will see a High pressure of 1028 millibars will sit over Mainland UK on Saturday, with a deep-ish Low of 984 millibars in the Mid-Atlantic, with another deep Low of 968 millibars in the Labrador Sea. Sunday will see the Mid-Atlantic and Labrador Low combine and form one entity of 968 millibars in the Northern Atlantic just off the Greenland Coast, whilst the UK High pressure will have moved into Central Europe at 1028 millibars, with another High pressure of 1028 millibars in the Central Southern Atlantic around the Azores. So this will all mean swell and wind, but you’ll be lucky to get clean winds and swell, read the details and stay tuned, as things may change as the week develop……….

  • so unless it’s flat, just ignore it(!) and go surfing.
  • The Weekend Outlook is aimed at those who are competent at paddling out in 6ft plus surf and looking for perfect conditions.
  • This is a SURF report, we care about the waves, as to whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy or hailing is incidental, and neither here nor there as far as we are concerned.
  • Also note that this is always written for midday, so there may be variances during the AM and PM.
  • Wave Heights are written in what you are actually taking in the face / duck diving, we are not into macho bs of measuring the wave from the back, this is the real thing, what you drop and ride = simple.
