PRESSURE SYNOPSIS

Saturday will see a High pressure of 1029 millibars sitting in the Mid Southern Atlantic around the Azores, with another area of High pressure of 1025 millibars around Southern France in the Mediterranean. There will also be a fat High pressure of 1025 millibars in the Norwegian Sea with an area of weak Low pressure of 100 millibars around Iceland with another Low of 992 millibars coming out of the Labrador Sea. By Sunday there will be a High pressure over Ireland and much of the Mainland UK at 1025 millibars, meanwhile to the West the Low pressure out of the Labrador Sea will have moved to be South east of Greenland at 981 millibars. All this will mean a bit of swell for Northern Scotland everywhere except for Northern Scotland on Saturday, read the details and stay tuned as things may change as the week goes on……….

OVERALL

Minor changes since early in the week, overall still small in the South West and Wales – with Saturday being the best day down there. Meanwhile all the action is in Northern Scotland with Saturday being the bigger of the two days. Read the details to get the best there is………

It should be remembered:

  • Regardless of the Weekend Outlook if there is surf, you should be out there to improve your surfing ability
  • so unless it’s flat, just ignore it(!) and go surfing.

  • This is a SURF report, we care about the waves, as to whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy or hailing is incidental, and neither here nor there as far as we are concerned.
  • Also note that this is always written for midday, so there may be variances during the AM and PM.
  • Wave Heights are written in what you are actually taking in the face / duck diving, we are not into macho bs of measuring the wave from the back, this is the real thing, what you drop and ride = simple.
