With another Low pressure of 989 millibars sitting in the Northern Atlantic South East of Greenland. Whilst North eastern Russia will have a High pressure of around 1044 millibars, which will be stretching all the way across Scandinavia to encompass much of the United Kingdom. Sunday will see things remain more or less the same, except that the Near Atlantic Low will have deepened to 988 millibars and stretch into the Bay of Biscay and towards South Western England. The High in the Mid-Atlantic will have weakened marginally to 1028 millibars, with the Low in the North Atlantic still around 996 millibars South east of Greenland. The Russian High will still be 1044 millibars stretching across Scandinavia and still into parts of North Eastern England and Scotland. This will all mean some fun in the far north and far South West, but do read your areas and stay tuned as things may change as the week goes on……….

It should be remembered

It should be remembered:

  • Regardless of the Weekend Outlook if there is surf, you should be out there to improve your surfing ability
  • so unless it’s flat, just ignore it(!) and go surfing.
  • The Weekend Outlook is aimed at those who are competent at paddling out in 6ft plus surf and looking for perfect conditions.
  • This is a SURF report, we care about the waves, as to whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy or hailing is incidental, and neither here nor there as far as we are concerned.
  • Also note that this is always written for midday, so there may be variances during the AM and PM.
  • Wave Heights are written in what you are actually taking in the face / duck diving, we are not into macho bs of measuring the wave from the back, this is the real thing, what you drop and ride = simple.
