PRESSURE SYNOPSIS

Saturday will see a Low of 997 millibars in the North Sea, with a High pressure of 1033 millibars to counter it in the Mid Atlantic. By Sunday North Sea Low will have deepened to 993 millibars dropping down into the South Eastern North Sea, whilst the Mid Atlantic High pressure will have weakened marginally to 1031 millibars, but still be in situ. All this will mean a mixed bag, read your areas to get the best of what there is……….

OVERALL

A mixed bag, very big in places, but the killer will be the winds, read your areas to get the full idea of what is going on……….

BEGINNERS / IMPROVERS

Norfolk is your best bet by far, with Wales and the South West too big for you on Sunday. Read your areas, always play within your limits……….

It should be remembered:

  • Regardless of the Weekend Outlook if there is surf, you should be out there to improve your surfing ability
  • so unless it’s flat, just ignore it(!) and go surfing.
  • The Weekend Outlook is aimed at those who are competent at paddling out in 6ft plus surf and looking for perfect conditions.
  • This is a SURF report, we care about the waves, as to whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy or hailing is incidental, and neither here nor there as far as we are concerned.
  • Also note that this is always written for midday, so there may be variances during the AM and PM.
  • Wave Heights are written in what you are actually taking in the face / duck diving, we are not into macho bs of measuring the wave from the back, this is the real thing, what you drop and ride = simple.
