PRESSURE SYNOPSIS

Saturday will see a High pressure of 1035 millibars over South Eastern Europe, with a fat-ish Low of 1002 millibars in the Mediterranean just off the Tunisian Coast. Meanwhile around the UK there will be a fat Low pressure of 1018 millibars with a High pressure of 1025 millibars in the Mid Atlantic, with a final deep Low of 989 millibars in the Western Denmark Strait. Sunday will see the Low to our North have moved through the Denmark Strait into the Norwegian Sea, filling somewhat to 995 millibars off the Norwegian Coast. The fat Irish Low will in turn have moved South and East into North Western France filling in the process to 1022 millibars. In the Mid Atlantic the High will still be in place with a deep Low moving towards us from Newfoundland which will be 973 millibars. All the action looks to be on the Scottish North Coast, read your areas and stay tuned for updates as the week goes on………

  • Regardless of the Weekend Outlook if there is surf, you should be out there to improve your surfing ability
  • so unless it’s flat, just ignore it(!) and go surfing.
  • The Weekend Outlook is aimed at those who are competent at paddling out in 6ft plus surf and looking for perfect conditions.
  • This is a SURF report, we care about the waves, as to whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy or hailing is incidental, and neither here nor there as far as we are concerned.
  • Also note that this is always written for midday, so there may be variances during the AM and PM.
  • Wave Heights are written in what you are actually taking in the face / duck diving, we are not into macho bs of measuring the wave from the back, this is the real thing, what you drop and ride = simple.
