PRESSURE SYNOPSIS

Saturday will see a Low pressure of 979 millibars just North West of Northern Scotland, with another Low North West just South West of Iceland at 974 millibars, with another Low of 966 millibars off South Eastern Greenland in the Northern Atlantic. Meanwhile in the Southern Mid Atlantic there will be a fat Low of 1014 millibars, West of the Azores. Finally there will be a filling Low pressure of 989 millibars around Central Europe. Sunday will see the Southern Mid Atlantic Low move North and deepen rapidly to 962 millibars, now in the Mid Atlantic. Whilst the Low just East of Greenland will also have deepened and still be spinning more or less in situ at 970 millibars. In the South Western Norwegian Sea, just North East of Northern Scotland at 999 millibars, meanwhile the Central European Low pressure will be around Northern France now at 995 millibars, with a fat High of 1034 moving up the South Eastern Atlantic from Morocco at 1034 millibars.………

  • Regardless of the Weekend Outlook if there is surf, you should be out there to improve your surfing ability
  • so unless it’s flat, just ignore it(!) and go surfing.
  • The Weekend Outlook is aimed at those who are competent at paddling out in 6ft plus surf and looking for perfect conditions.
  • This is a SURF report, we care about the waves, as to whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy or hailing is incidental, and neither here nor there as far as we are concerned.
  • Also note that this is always written for midday, so there may be variances during the AM and PM.
  • Wave Heights are written in what you are actually taking in the face / duck diving, we are not into macho bs of measuring the wave from the back, this is the real thing, what you drop and ride = simple.
