PRESSURE SYNOPSIS

Saturday will see a High pressure of 1027 millibars over Eastern Europe, with another fatter High of 1034 millibars around the Azores. The Low pressures to counter this, will be in the Northern Hemisphere, one just South East of Greenland at 994 millibars in the Northern Atlantic. With another deeper Low just West of South Western Greenland, in the Southern Labrador Sea at 968 millibars. Sunday will see the Azorean High fatten to 1036 millibars, whilst the North Atlantic Low will have move rapidly East to be East of Iceland / North of Scotland at 987 millibars. Meanwhile the trailing Cold front in the Mid Atlantic will have spawned a minor fat Low of 1010 millibars, whilst the Labradorean Low will now be 977 millibars.………

OVERALL

Northern Scotland throughout and the South West and Wales on Saturday are the call for sure. Read your areas to get the best there is………

  • Regardless of the Weekend Outlook if there is surf, you should be out there to improve your surfing ability
  • so unless it’s flat, just ignore it(!) and go surfing.
  • The Weekend Outlook is aimed at those who are competent at paddling out in 6ft plus surf and looking for perfect conditions.
  • This is a SURF report, we care about the waves, as to whether it is sunny, rainy, snowy or hailing is incidental, and neither here nor there as far as we are concerned.
  • Also note that this is always written for midday, so there may be variances during the AM and PM.
  • Wave Heights are written in what you are actually taking in the face / duck diving, we are not into macho bs of measuring the wave from the back, this is the real thing, what you drop and ride = simple.
