Areas Covered:

Centred on Thurso, but may also mention Edinburgh and Machrihanish in the recommendation area.

Overhead for the North Coast on Saturday with strong cross-shore winds, spots that offer shelter are the call. There should be enough swell for some wrap-around swell at sheltered spots, so hunting a bit might prove fruitful. Sunday will see the swell drop a little (but not a lot), the winds will still be cross-shore, so a similar story to Saturday overall. The East Coast will be small throughout, with strong offshores, preventing any real swell from getting in 1-2ft at swell amplifying spots. The West Coast will be overhead on Saturday with strong cross-shore winds, making all West facing spots very lumpy. So you’re only hope is sheltered wrap-around spots, or spots that get some wrap-around swell, Sunday will be a tad smaller at 3-5ft. Overall the North Coast would be our call on Saturday, with the West Coast being a second best option, but you will need to hunt to get some……
