Areas Covered:

Centred on Thurso, but may also mention Edinburgh and Machrihanish in the recommendation area.

Overhead for the North Coast with moderately strong Southerly winds on Saturday, Sunday will see the swell more than double to triple over head with strong South Easterly winds. Head for sheltered spots that can handle the winds, Sunday and shelter will be the key. The East Coast will have moderate South Westerly winds on Saturday with about 2-4ft of swell, Sunday will see the winds go more Southerly, but the swell will jump to shoulder high. This jump is due in part to the swell wrapping around from the North Coast, but clearly as you head further North on the East Coast the bigger it will be, notably around Wick. The West Coast will be shoulder high on Saturday, about 3-5ft, with moderate South Westerly winds. Sunday will see the swell jump to 9-11ft with eth South Westerly winds going very strong in the 6-8 force range. So wrap-around spots with hills, that rarely work will be place to head for. Stay tuned for further updates, as things may change as the week goes on…………

Swell: 5-7ft Wind: S force 3-5 plus

Swell: 11-15ft Wind: SE force 4-6
