Areas Covered:

Centred on Thurso, but may also mention Edinburgh and Machrihanish in the recommendation area.

Overhead for the North Coast with fresh to moderate Southerly winds on Saturday – so should be fun. Sunday will see the swell build rapidly (and by the afternoon it may even reach double to triple over head) winds will be moderate clean South, South Easterly. Looks fun / great overall = enjoy! The East Coast will have moderate South, South Westerly winds on Saturday with about 3-5ft of swell, Sunday will see the winds go a bit stronger, still vaguely variable South, South Westerly. There may also be a bit more swell, shoulder high plus, about 4-6ft at best. This jump is due in part to the swell wrapping around from the North Coast, but clearly as you head further North on the East Coast the bigger it will be, notably around Wick. The West Coast will be head high on Saturday, at about 4-6ft, with moderate to strong South Westerly winds. Sunday will see the swell jump to 7-9ft plus with the South Westerly winds going very strong in the 6-8 force range. So wrap-around spots with hills, that rarely work will be place to head for. So a great weekend, especially for the North Coast, with certain spots / areas on the East and West Coasts respectively also being fun at times – good hunting wherever you’re headed………….

Swell: 5-7ft Wind: S force 3-5

Swell: 9-11ft Wind: SSE force 3-5
