Areas Covered:

Centred on Thurso, but may also mention Edinburgh and Machrihanish in the recommendation area.

Recommendations:

Head high with moderate cross-offshore winds for the North Coast on Saturday, so clean and fun. Sunday will see the swell drop to shoulder high, and the winds go cross-shore from the South West, so less places will be fun on the North Coast, but still fun at times. The East Coast will be well Head High on Saturday with moderately strong cross-onshore winds on Saturday, so the best bet would be North facing spots around Fraserburgh for example. Sunday will see the swell more than halve to about 1-2ft as the winds go cross-offshore from the South West. The West Coast will be small scratching to get 1-2ft at best on Saturday, with cross-offshore winds, Sunday will see the winds go cross-onshore, but there still won’t be a lot of swell getting in. So the North Coast is your best bet overall, with the East Coast a second best option on Saturday, but stay tuned as things may change as the week goes on…………

Saturday:

Swell: 4-6ft plus Wind: SE force 3-5 plus

Sunday:

Swell: 3-5ft Wind: SW force 3-5
